Guild of St. George announces 2011 Guild Days


The southern cpater of the Guild of St. George holds monthly "Guild Days" for rehearsal of songs and dances, study of historical topics, and acting and character workshops.  These are generally held on the third Saturday of each month.  The Guild Days will be held on the following days in 2011:
August 20
September 24
October 15

November 19

There will be no meeting in December

St. George EME and Wessex Consort present "All At Once Well Met" on September 11

On Sunday, September 11, at 5:00, the St. George Early Music Ensemble and the Wessex Consort will present an hour long-program of fanfares, songs, dances, and madrigals.  This concert will take place at First United Methodist Church of Whittier, located at 13222 Bailey Street in Whittier, 90601.  Admission is free.  For more information, please contact John Smith at GuildmasterSouth@guildofstgeorge.org.

An Evening of Poe and Gorey to be presented at the Huntington Library

On Saturday, October 8, 2011, the Guild of St. George will present a special evening of readings from the works of Edgar Allen Poe and Edward Gorey on the grounds of the Huntington Library in San Marino.  For more information, contact the Huntington Library at www.Huntington.org.
